Is It Normal For An Infant To Have Blue Tongue Because Of Cold?

Hi, my baby girl is 7 month old and she has a cold and for 2 days now her tongue is blue .. I did go to a walk in clinique yesterday morning and the doctor told me it happends when babies are sick.. But im still worried and looking for a second opinion .. From reading online there is nothing good related to a baby having a blue tongue.. Please is it okay or should i get a second opinion at the ER maybe?

There are many reasons for this bluish discoloration on tongue. they can be
- Cyanosis
- Heart disease
- Lung disease
- Mucopolysaccharidosis
- Viral infection
Better you should consult another pediatrician to get it properly examined and diagnosed and for further blood investigations if needed, as it will clear all your doubts.
