Is It Necessary To Take Deriphyllin For The Treatment Of Throat Infection?
For the throat infection and fever I was prescribed amoxycyllin and potassium clavulanate (pexoclav 625), along with deryphyllin. Is deryphyllin necessary. Is it not a strong medicine with side effects? An year back I had suffered from allergic asthma and had been using FORACORT inhaler. Will throat infection lead to such a situation?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If this is again an exacerbation of asthma, you can use Deriphyllin. Since the doctor has visited you and evaluated situation and is better if you use it. Don't change medicine by yourself.
Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
