Is It Necessary To Have Tetanus Shot For Stuck Staple Wire In Finger?

Hi. I accidentally pushed my finger to a staple wire as I was removing the content inside a paper bag. I think it went to the side of my finger to the ingrown part. I gently removed the staple wire from my finger. After pulling it out, there was no immediate bleeding. I went to the sink and washed the area where I have pushed the staple wire twice with antibacterial soap and afterwards I poured on ethyl alcohol to the said finger. Should I get a tetanus shot or not at all? Thanks in advance.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
No it is not necessary to take tetanus shot in this case. Ideally tetanus shot is taken in contaminated wound (like outside wound contaminated with dust), where tetanus bacilli are prevalent.
