General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is always better to take at least 4 doses of rabies vaxine as a part of postexposure prophylaxis to prevent human rabies as you don't know in the case of a street dog whether it has been vaccinated or not. You are advised to take shots on 0,3,7 and 14 day.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
