General & Family Physician, Dr. Amarnath's Response
Welcome to hcm, Prescribing medications to a person depends upon the illness he/she is having. If i was her treating physician, I want her detailed medical history recent and past including the investigations performed and their results. Her current condition has to be examined Before deciding to reduce her medications. If her pottasium levels are OK there is no need for potassium tablets. it can be improved by intake of pottassium rich foods like avagoda fruit intake of coconut water etc. And reducing the dosages of diuretics. All these treatments are individualised depending upon his or her present status. Ask me if you have any more further clarifications with detailed medical history Hope this explains With regards Dr.Amarnath.
