Is It Due To Aortic Stenosis There Is Heart Murmur?
Hi, i was born with aortic stenosis 33 years ago. I had two open heart surgeries before age 2. I ve got a large murmur but no problems till now. I had a dizzy spell that lasted a few hours, i rested and drank lots of water and felt fine for 36 hours. I decided to drink alchohol the next night and was fine till an hour after waking up the next am. Now the say i need to replace my aorta valve but havent had any symptoms in over 48 hrs in the hospital wating on surgery. Im not so sure this is the anwser right now. Any thoughts?
Hi,welcome to HCM. Aortic stenosis can lead to both murmur and symptoms of reduced blood flow to vital organs like dizziness.Severe aortic stenosis associated with symptoms has to be corrected with an early surgery.Aortic valve replacement is the definite surgery to correct the hemodynamic abnormalities. This is the treatment of choice.COnsult your doctor for further queries. Thank you
