Is It Compulsory To Go For Surgery For Haemorrhoids Or Can Be Cured?

I was diagnosed with fissure 3 yrs back by a surgeon who actually examined and reccommended cured by medines itself but other physicians for whom i visited when i get some problem with hemorrhoids suggested for a surgeory. I am having this problem since last 10 years .I had fear of surgery that they may retreat again even after surgeory .Please suggest what should i do that is good for my health

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The management of haemorrhoids depends on the stage of the disease.
The disease is staged according to the degree of prolapse.
In the initial stages, conservative measures are taken like banding, sclerotherapy etc.
However, as the degree of prolapse increases surgical management has to be done.
Thus, consult your surgeon for clinical assessment and thus treatment.
Recurrence after surgery is not common.
