Is It Common To Experience Acid Reflux And Vomiting After An Internal Bleeding Due To An Abdominal Injury?

I suffered blunt trauma to my liver, abdomen and pelvis which caused internal bleeding. I was in the hospital for 5 days - most of which were in ICU. I was released over two weeks ago. I am still having a terrible time eating. It sits in my throat or chest (like heartburn) and I throw up. It is also very painful. Is this comon?

Hi,

Blunt trauma may cause internal organs injury lead to bleeding. First you have to confirm that there's is no internal organ injury. Yes it is possible that vomiting after blunt injury. Also possible that to develop stress induced ulcers of stomach.

So please get it done ultrasound abdomen and upper GI endoscopy to rule out internal organs injury. Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hi,

Yes it is possible that blunt injury may can cause stress ulcers in the abdomen and acid reflux. Any internal bleeding also may aggravate this symptoms. Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week.

Please get one ultrasound abdomen and upper GI endoscopy then consult your surgeon he will examine and treat you accordingly.
