Is It Advisable To Wait While Suspecting Compartment Syndrome From An Accident?
Hi,
My friend fell while skiing today, injured his elbow, which is now pretty swollen significantly. He has numbness and tingling in his forearm all the way to the wrist, and has sensation of tightness throughout the area as well. I am concerned about compartment syndrome. Do we need to see a physician tonight? Is there risk of permanent injury if he were to wait until tomorrow to see a surgeon / physician? Thank you!

You should not wait at all and show to emergency as early as possible. You will not able to identify if compartment syndrome is already developed and by the time it is morning it can be too late. So best to you is to show hem just now. And mean while do not give him water or food as he may need urgent surgery also.
