Is It A Matter Of Concern If Having Chest Discomfort After Having Angiogram Previously?

My husband who is 53 years old had an angiogram about 4 years ago, as he was experiencing chest discomfort etc. Dr. Henderson the cardiologist said his arteries looked great could drive a truck through them and he should live to be 100 years young:) He is again experiencing chest discomfort for the past week steadily, feeling a sharp/stabbing pain, he says feeling like muscles but constant. When taking a deep breath in, he feels it more. Should he go to the emergency to get checked out, or does this sound more like muscular discomfort he is having. There is a history on his mothers side of early heart attacks in a few of his Uncles, and his father who passed had a mild heart attack prior to passing of cancer.

Dear friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

A normal angio is reassuring
Still pain could be from Coronary – small vessel disease or spasm!

Your description does not suggest Coronary Artery Disease
Yet, the wise option is to go ER – get EKG & Enzymes done / and be reassured
Is not better to be safe than sorry!

Take care
Wishing all well
God bless
