Is It A Matter Of Concern If Child Sweats And Produces A Ketone Or Sour Penicillin Like Smell?

I have noticed over the past few weeks a sour penicilin like or maybe ketone smell when my daughter is sleeping at night. She is 3 1/2 yrs old and we live in Arizona so she sweats at night. Temperature in house stays at 76 degrees. Should I be worried?

Hi...abnormal is usually suggestive of an Inborn Error of Metabolism (IEM). This requires evaluation. I suggest you get in touch with your pediatrician and get an IEM screening done.
