Is It A Matter Of Concern If Baby Has A Lump In Head After Hitting A Headboard?

Okay. Our bed is against the wall. We have no headboard. My son is 11 months old and was asleep and moved up and hit his head slightly hard. He now has a small lump. He didnt cry or wake up. But woke up when I made him. Hes sleeping again and acting completely normal. Should I worry?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello. Thank you for your question. everyone regardless of age will develop a lump of some size after hitting our heads on a hard surface. The important thing is your son did not lose consciousness, or display any other neurological signs, like vomiting. Depending in the size of the lump, it may take days or even weeks before it resolves. In short, you do not need to worry.
