Is Intake Of Drinks Safe During Sinus?

I'm having sinus surgery on Tuesday. They told me to avoid NSAIDS and certain vitamins and herbal supplements. Last night I had to stay up laate to finish some Christmas errands and had a Red bull energy drink without thinking. Red Bull certainly wasn't on the list, nor were any energy drinks for that matter, but I was wondering if there is any cause for concern here?

Hi,
Relax first. The post sinus surgery we recommend not to take cold food/ beverages due to low temperature may cause sorethroat and ascending infections and excessive mucus. Excessive mucus in post op period is not adviceable because of secondary infections. I advice my post op patients to take plenty of fluids for better cellular hydration. So nothing to worry , and avoid cold refrigerated food items directly.Take care.
