Is Insulin Required When Blood Sugar Level Is 149?

Hello Dr.s my question is about my mothers insulin usage...This morning i checked her blood sugar and it was 89...She did not take any insulin just her pills that she takes every morning...Tonight i checked her blood sugar and it's 149 does she need to take her insulin or can she delay it until the morning??

The readings what your telling are good which can be controlled by diet and oral medicines.
But one important thing is you cannot decide with just one reading.
It will be better to consult a diabetologist and evaluate completely by doing fasting, post prandial and hba1c, which gives the complete picture .
All the medicines has to be taken according to the doctors supervision. dont change anything by yourself.
More over sugar readings fluctuate depending upon the carbohydrates in the meal she has consumed.
