Is Increased Dosage Of Zoloft Advisable For Increased Anxiety And OCD?

I am a 27 year old 5 10 190 lb. male student already taking zoloft 200mg.+adderall30mg/day for my ADHD and anxiety. Recently my anxiety has skyrocketected and so has some OCD symptomatology. I have read that increased dosage of zoloft (under doctor s supervision of course) is often recommended for severe anxiety as opposed to klonopin or other anxiolytics that may cause drowsiness and cog. pbms. with concentration which I cannot allow to happen with my course load. Any thoughts on increasing the zoloft to deal with this OCD component. In the past a kaiser psychiatrist had told me that increased zoloft could best manage my OCD. Nick

Hello.
You are basically at the maximum recommended dosage for Zoloft and I don't think an increase at this point will help here.

An increase can be tried, but I would consider switching you to a different antidepressant like Effexor
