Is Hyperthyroidism, Related With Fluctuating TSH Values?
My tsh fluctuates constantly. I had an anaphylactic reaction to a corticosteroid injection 2 years back and have been ill ever since. When I feel ok my TSH goes up to 1.2 but when I'm trembling, anxious with palpitations it goes down to 0.4. I am not on meds as my doctor doesn't think it's hyperthyroidism, but my body says otherwise. I have a multinodular goiter and have to do a repeat fna as the last was undiagnostic. I feel very unwell

I can understand you concern. TSH level 0.4 mUi/ml is not suggestive for hyperthyroidism even though you have symptoms.Anyway, to judge better about the thyroid function you need to check also FT4 and Ft3 level. If the nodules are cold in scintiscan they can not be the cause of over active thyroid as you pretend. For a personalised comprehensive evaluation, treatment recommendations, or individual therapy.
