Is Hip Replacement Right Treatment For Pain In Hip And Osteoarthritis?

I have been suffering with hip pain for 5 years and I have osteoarthritis and now a cist in my hip. I have had two opinions. One doctor wants to do a hip replacement and the other wants me to go for another injection to see if that brings me any relief. I can t take this pain and none of the doctors are willing to give pain medicine to help alleviate the excruciating pain I am in. What do you think I should do?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. The definite treatment for last stage of osteoarthritis is replacement or arthroplasty. Corticosteroid injections can be tried in such case but if there is not improvement hip replacement should be considered. The modern replacement techniques are giving 25 years guarantee. Hope this may help you.
Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
