Is High Bilirubin Level Dangerous?

Hi sir.....Mahesh here.. Yesterday I was checked my blood test with doctor... According to that report my platelet levels are 2.70lackhs....but bilirubin level 1.4mg/dl....my doctor said this is jaundice...is it correct sir... Is my bilirubin level is more dangerous??

I understand your concern.
High bilirubin level is definitely dangerous.
But you need not be worried much about it as your blood levels of 1.4mg/dl is borderline high. Also the platelet count is within normal range.
Increased bilirubin level is called 'jaundice', which could be caused commonly due to hepatitis A virus, which is self limiting disease and requires only symptomatic treatment.
However, you need to be further investigated as to know what type of jaundice it could be, so that it can be treated accordingly.
Kindly consult Physician for appropriate management.
