Is Heavy Vaginal Bleeding During Menstruation Normal Post Removal Of Mirena Coil?

I got my mirena out 4 months ago. I just started my period today and i feel like its a lot of bleeding. I understnad that when i finally stared it would probaly be heavy. But i just bled through a super tampon that i only put in at 10 20. Whenn i got up to usenthe rest room the blood was dripping down my leg! Is this normal?

IS it your first cycle after its removal?
if not how were the periods before?
for how long was it placed inside before removal?
Have you been on any other medication?
Bleeding irregularities are common with mirena and can continue for a brief period even after its removal..
If there is a continuous heavy flow which continues for more than 2 days do consult the doctor to rule out any problem..
also if you have any foul smelling discharge or severe pain in the abdomen..
if there is no problem you just wait for 2-3 days ..
use of tampons can cause vaginal and pelvic infections.. so use normal pads instead of tampons..
