I have six pleural based non calcified ground glass nodules front back and medially on both lungs, these have been followed a bit, but now something new has shown up, fibrotic band at the left lung base medially & an ill defined area of scarring adjacent. There s also quite a bit of airway collapse. my question is does having a fibrotic band and all this scarring equate to pulmonary fibrosis? I ve had several family members die recently from pulmonary fibrosis. I also have a primary immune deficiency which causes a lot of lung, sinus, & ear infections (among others) and Ehlers Danlos syndrome.
