Is Hard Time Catching The Breath After Crying In An Infant A Serious Concern?

my son is 18 months old when he cries he sometimes has a hard time catching his breath. Today it happened twice and lips went blue but finally took a breath after a 1 min. Is there a easy way to catch his breath faster my dr said it should go away eventually and has no bad effects

These symptoms should be immediately taken care of or else baby may go into respiratory failurw.Measure oxygen saturation levels.Give bronchodilators and steroids.thankyou
