Is Hair Coloring Safe After Having A Cyst Removed From Hairline?

Hello, I had a small cyst removed from my hairline on the front of my face on the 15th of this month and it is the 28th as of right now. The doctor used dissolving stitches as well as glue over it. I was wondering if I could get my hair colored in a day or 2.. I didn t ask, but the tape is crusting off and it doesn t look red underneath. Thank you!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Hair colouring can be done after having a cyst removed from the hairline.
However, kindly wait for a week to ten days before you go for colouring as it takes that much time for the granulation tissue to form and heal the wound from inside.
Also, make sure you have used the product before and your skin is not allergic to the colouring material used, so that it wouldn't cause any adverse allergic reactions.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
