Hi, my son's chicken pox spots started to show on wed. Just wondering if it would be ok to take him to beach as we are having some great weather. First spots have started to scab and he is not complaing of itching. Hes four.
Thanks in advance

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Chicken pox will not be contagious after the scab has formed and no new blisters detected. You can go to beach with out any fear.

Wishing you good health.

Thanks.
