Is Glycomet Advised For PCOS?

Sir,
My daughter (18 yrs old) has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism for the first time. Her triglycerides, popoprotein, prolaction, t4 & TSH are 159, 31.8, 32.86, 13.30 and 7.65 respectively. She has also got PCOD. My consulting Doctor (the Endocrinologist) has advised Glycomet 500 SR and Thyronorm to continue for 2 months initially. Am I going in the right direction?
