Is Glucose Level Of 109 While Suffering From Stomach Flu Normal?

A few months ago I was sick with the stomach flu. I ended up in the er due to my Drs. Request. I have had lap nissen and tif procedure to stop acid reflux my Drs. Concern was the possible tearing of the lap nissen procedure. Apparently I m not supposed to be able to vomit. Well the er ran bloodwork and did a c.t. scan all was good but today I was looking at my bloodwork and my glucose level was 109. Is that normal with having had the stomach flu. I ve never had a glucose level that high.

Hi,

The normal blood glucose level (Fasting) is 72-99 mg/dL & PP Glucose level is 140 mg/dL. You have normal blood glucose level, no worries.

Presently you are under some medical procedures and hence under a little anxiety and stress so your blood glucose levels may show slight fluctuations, you are fine you need not worry. Maintain healthy lifestyle & stay well nourished.

Hope I have answered your query.
