Is Giving Clindamycin Palmitate HCL Advisable To A Child?

What can I mix clindamycin palmitate hydrochloride for oral solution (pediatric) with to get my 2 year old to take this medicine? He won t take it straight up and we ve tried putting it in juice, Gatorade, chocolate syrup and he still won t take it. His pediatrician is no help, just tells us he has to take it.

you can consult with your physician to change the medication and give som e other antibiotic in place of clindamycin because the oral preparation of clindamycin has got a very taste and odour thats why most children refuse to take it and it also gives a metallic taste after consumption..since you have not cited the reason why your gp has prescribed this medicine to your child i am not able to provide any alternative..hope so this information helps
