Is Getting Stitches Wet While Showering Dangerous?

Hi my name is Pat. I had a tummy tuck on the 8-24- 17 My doctor gave me the ok to shower.. But I m afraid I still have stitches i scared of getting my stitches wet in the shower.I it best to wait after stitches is removed for showering ??? Oh sorry y all on here for money... Sorry didn t know there was a fee for answer

It is perfectly alright to take a shower, even before getting the sutures removed. In fact, you may use soap to clean the suture line, and wash with warm water. The area will remain clean, and after drying it with a clean towel, you may apply an antibiotic cream like Neosporin ointment, and dress the wound.
