Gelatin is an animal product developed from collagen, a connective tissue and is a source of incomplete protein. it doesn't have any nutritional benefits and is used by the food processing industries as a thickening agent in various food items like ice creams. It has no known benefit for lowering cholesterol. It doesn't really offer any health benefits either. Hope this answers your query. You can ask me if you have anymore questions/doubt about any foods in future. Take care.
