General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Ma'am, Hi & Welcome.
I can understand your concern.
Gabapentin should be used with some caution in patients with Myasthenia gravis. Since Gabapentin can cause muscle weakness or tiredness as its one of the common side effects hence it should be used with caution or better to be avoided for the treatment of Trigeminal neuralgia. Other alternate drugs like Carbamazepine or Antidepressants like Amitryptiline do not cause muscle weakness hence can be used in the treatment of Trigeminal neuralgia.
Hope this answers your query.
A feedback is appreciated.
