General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.

I appreciate your concern for the safety of inadvertently given 4th dose of Hepatitis B vaccine to your baby.

There is no harm if the 4th dose of hepatitis B vaccine is given.

Usually given in 3 doses at 2, 4 and 6 months of age in combination with other routine childhood immunizations Hepatitis B vaccine is a very safe and effective way of protecting a baby against this serious infection.
However, the vaccination schedule for children differs from country to country.
Some babies might get 4 doses, for example, if a combination vaccine containing hepatitis B is used. (This is a single shot containing several vaccines.) The extra dose is not harmful.

Hope to have clarified your doubts.
