Is Extreme Pain Radiating From The Wrist To Forearm Post A Thorn Prick A Concern?

I got pricked by a thick thorn in the afternoon just above my wrist bone. Now I cant hardly bend my pinky finger or make a fist without my wrist being in pain. It feels like a sever sprained wrist. Are thorns that poisonous? Should I get this checked out? It s about 8pm and the pain has gone up half of my forearm. The pain is intense and bending my wrist is almost unbearable. Whats wrong?
