Is Exercising Safe While Suffering From High Heart Rate?

Hello. I recently started modafanil 100mg od. I was an avid runner, cyclist etc until 6 months ago. Started back exercising with weights and some cardio machines ie elliptical. Heart rate is 183 bpm when I stop weights and move to the elliptical. No sob, chest pain. Just wondering if it is still safe to exercise with a hr like that to start out. Stays very high when I continue. Resting is now 80bpm which is high for me and my body was 130/90, which has increase from 100/80. Should I stop cardio until I see an md?

Hello and welcome to Healthcamagic.
It would be good to do complete cardiologic work up to rule out arrhythmias and csrdiomiopathies before doing any exercise so you should see doctor I suggest.
I hope I have answered your query. I wish you a nice day.
