Is Excessive Sleepiness Post Intake Of Tramadol With Claritin A Cause For Concern?

I took 1 tramadol this morning , 8 a.m, and by 3 p.m. I was so exhausted I had to take a nap. My husband woke me 2 hours later. I see that the problem may be that I am also taking claritin for allergies. I need both medications today. What should I do? The tendonitis pain is returning but I m hesitant to take another Tramadol. I m also taking arthritis acetaminophen and Arthrtec 75 mg.

As such there is no noted adverse interaction between claritin and tramadol. But you are already taking so many pain killers (acetaminophen,arthrtec) which cause gastric side effects adding tramadol will only increase gastritis risk. May be you are so tired that you needed rest.it is better you use local oils like gaultheria oil or ointments for pain of both arthritis and tendonitis than oral pain killers to prevent gastric ulcers .daily exercise and balanced diet, avoiding excess sugar,salt,oil and junk will help in reducing these kind of pains.As far as possible it is better to avoid oral pain killers except aectaminophen to avoid kidney and liver problems also.
