Is Excessive Exercise Advisable When Diagnosed With Rheumatoid Arthritis?
I have rheumatoid arthritis, and I am working out 4-5 days a week. I want to know if it is okay for me to take bcaas during my workout to help repair my muscles quicker? And I also wanted to know if it is okay for me to follow my workout with a protein shake? I will not stop working out, I use light weights. I want results and stronger muscles to help protect my joints. I am taking xeljanz 11mg tablets once daily. I am only 23.

Is Excessive Exercise Advisable When Diagnosed With Rheumatoid Arthritis?
Hi, You can do simple stretching and cardio exercises. Avoid strenuous exercise as it can worsen the joints and may cause a flare-up of the disease. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
