Is Excess Bleeding With Blood Clots And Irregular Periods A Cause For Concern?

I have had an irregular. For quite some times and was taking hormones to regulate it but I just started bleeding extremely heavily and releasing huge blood clots. It doesn t hurt and they come out easily and I don t have any side effects, should I be concerned or could this be old uterine wall

Hi, I think you should go for evaluation for your irregular periods. Do a thyroid profile and prolactin levels and a ultrasound for your uterus and ovaries. It can be due to some hormonal imbalances. You may need some treatment accordingly. You can take some medicines like Tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding.
