Is Endoscopy Recommended For Cough And Tongue Pain While Suffering From Barrett S Esophagus?

If I am diagnosed with Barrets esophagus and have also had thyroid cancer in the past should I have endoscope tests more often. Also I am experiencing coughing and pain in my tongue and right ear with a small lump on back of my tongue is this all related?

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, the swelling on the back of the tongue may be a lymph node so you need to get examination done by the physician.

Rest for barret’s esophaghus you should get yearly endoscopy done to check for any cancerous changes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin
