Is Echogenic Foci Same As An Echogenic Bowel?

An echogenic foci (2 x 4mm) was found between the bowel and liver at the level of the stomach at the 20 week ultrasound. Is this the same as an echogenic bowel? Is this an indicator of chromosomal anomalities and would a Harmony or MaterniT21 test be recommended? The CMV and taxo came back negative. The parvo b19 IgM was negative, IgG positive. I think she is immune to rubella as well.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, the 20 weeks gestational period is the organogenesis phase and as long as the ultrasonography is concern different nonspecific echoic image is very likely to seen but it may not be due to genetic defect, if this is so then the anomaly would be very much obvious which may not left any room for doubt else it is nothing to worry, but regular follow up is must hope this information helps.
