Is Dry Cough A Related Symptom In Costochondritis?

Hello,
I'm an 18 year old who has recently been diagnosed with Costochondritis. At first, my only symptoms were swelling and sharp pain, but i have recently developed a very bothersome, dry cough. could this be related to my diagnosis? or is it nothing to worry about?

Dear Friend.
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern
You might be having Pleuritis / Pneumonitis/ Pericarditis.
Pain and dry cough are found in these.
Dry cough is not a classical symptom of costrochondritis.

I also advise you to review with me with following:
1. ECG
2. Xray Chest PA View.

If you have any further query, you may please ask me.
