Is Drastic Weight Loss Due To Parathyroid Disorder?

I have an older sister 60 years old who over the past year has had a rather dramatic weight loss. She has been diagonsed with parathyroid disease - more tests to be done. Can this be why she has lost so much weight? She looks too thin and she also said she has a goiter?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, in absence of any disease or pathology weight loss could be physiological and once the person is asymptomatic do not have any symptoms then no need to worry about this, still better to get done complete clinical examination with tests hope this information helps.
