Is Discontinuing TMT In The Middle A Matter Of Concern?

I had to undergo TMT test in JUly 2013 & it showed positive.During the test I had no problem in undergoing the test ,but once some form of abnormality being observed in the computer ,I was asked to discontinue. To what extent it is in bad shape?Incidentally,I am having breating problem It increases mainly in winter. While in city it increases but while I go out of city it reduces.PFT test showed adversity for which i had to take medicines for 6 months & after consultation of a cardiologist I had to take DEPLAT CV (OD) & Angimem(CD90) ,which has been advised to continue for lifelong. 2.Meanwhile I again consulted a cardiologist who, after going through the TMT result throughly & ECG reports & other reports, prescribed medicines like SELOREN XL,ECOSPRIN 75 & STORVAS 20 alongwith a inhaler SEROFLO.For the last 6 months I am feeling more or less ok . AM I moving in right direction or positive TMT result might become deadly in the days to come. DEBASIS BHATTACHARYYA

Thanks for posting your query.

Well a positive TMT means there is some problem in the heart. To be more specific the blood flow to some part of heart is reduced due to obstruction ( partial ) in Coronary arteries ( blood vessel that supplies blood to heart )

The medications that have been prescribed is fine. But I would recommend you to go for an Angioplasty which will clearly tell how much of obstruction is present in Coronary arteries and if it's significant the doctor will simultaneously clear that obstruction.

Kindly ask your cardiologist for Angioplasty.

Hope this information was useful to you.

Any clarifications feel free to ask .
