Is Diarrhoea Common Post Lithotripsy?

I had lithotripsy on 11 days ago. Even though I feel pain free and great from passing the stones, my gut is still not normal from the antibiotics (finished them 7 days ago) and pain meds (stopped the oxycodone the day after the procedure). I was told that the procedure kind of shakes everything up and that coupled with the meds I was on can cause diarrhea.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of lithotripsy 11 days ago, no pain now and stopped painkillers and took antibiotic.
These antibiotics can cause the disturbance of bacterial flora and cause diarrhea. But this usually stops after stoppage of the antibiotics.
I would advise you the following:
Send the stool sample for the tests and if it shows the infection a course of a suitable antibiotic active against intestinal infection can help to recover faster.
Probiotics, curds, yogurt, bananas and activated charcoal helps in many patients for early recovery.
