Is depression a side effect of elevated blood sugar levels and if not, what is?
my husband is very moody sometimes and I was just wondering if this could be part of the diabetes or sugar levels

At any given time, most people with diabetes do not have depression. But people with diabetes have a greater risk of depression than people without diabetes. Poor diabetes control causes symptoms that look like depression. The stress of daily diabetes management can build up. He may feel alone or set apart from his friends and family because of all this extra things.
