Is Cough With Congestion Due To Flu Contagious?
My sister has had one of those bugs that are making the rounds. She ran a temp for 3-4 days but has not had a fever in almost a week. She still, however, has a deep persisitent cough with congestion. If she is around anyone and is not wearing a mask could she possibly still be contagious when she coughs? I am concerned for our 80 year old mother who is awaiting gall bladder removal.

I really appreciate your concern if the cough symptoms of your sister is not due to any contagious disease then this is nothing to worry and most of the time such cough symptoms may not be danger to other unless diagnosed infective disease, hope this information helps, take care.
