General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There is not a relationship between having warts and diabetes. The warts are formed by viral infection or by frequent friction of the shoes to foot. It is also known that diabetic persons should get evaluation and treatment of all foot lesions because of bad circulation and peripheral neuropathy caused by diabetes. Diabetes can make foot more prone to wounds and make healing process difficult.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
