Is Continued Hiccups In A Child Serious?

hi my 2 year old daughter keeps haveing hiccups and most of the time they last for over an hour is this dangerous? As I have been told by a friend if hiccups last for a certain length of time it can do something to the heart is this true and if so what should I do about it? Thank you.

Hi, Thanks for asking. Hiccups are a part of the normal phenomenon of the body. It is not dangerous and it does not do anything to the heart also.
