Is Confusion And Delirium A Sign Of A Seizure And Can It Reoccur?

my husband was just released from ER stating he had a seizure and they gave him keppra, and took his driverslicense as well.. He has not had a seizure in 7 years he used to take Dilantin and then change to tompimax. but then was taken off because he had not had a issues and now here were are 7 years later in the hosp again. This time they found him on the job site, was dazed and confused but seem s to be okay. Why does this happen? and do I really know it was a seizure labs and CT came back normal?

Hello ma'am.... I am a neurologist. Yes confusion and delirium are signs of seizure...and it might recur if non compliance to drug or low dose of drugs...One thing he developed sudden onset of altered sensorium.... two possibilities...one is Seizure and second is stroke... CT is normal but it is like poor visual quality go for MRI Brain...and if it is normal then go for EEG....byt after all negative also you have to continue Keppra as seizure disorder do not have any 100% confirmatory diagnostic test.
