Is Chronic Upper Abdominal Pain A Symptom Of Heart Burn?

Hello, I have small cyst that the doctors said are not a problem and I am going for surgery soon for gallbladder cause i have stones in there, also I have acid reflex problems. There is a time when a pain hits bad by that I mean I am normally on the floor just trying to wait it out. The main pain is right below the middle of my breast and expands out then normally goes into my ribs. I thought it was my acid reflex at first so I went to the hospital and they gave me acid reflex pills but the pain came again and even harder. The pain keeps getting worse. It will last a long time the longest was over two hours where I just lay in pain till it passes. When this pain comes every so often my lower stomach in the ovary area starts up soon after. The doctors say my pain should be more in the gallbladder area and other ones don t make sense with the gallbladder. That being said ovary pain and the middle of under my breast area is not the only thing those are just the largest. I get pain in my ribs and moves down my side, and i even get a heart burn feeling as well maybe it is just heartburn? Wanted to ask to be sure that my whole torso shouldn t be in pain. Little background in family wise Father- diabetic. His side is known for it. Mother-Heart problems, has pacemaker, her side is known for gallbladder problems and heart. I am 18.

Hello,

The pain you are describing sounds like acid reflux though, but even gall stones are associated with acid reflux if the stones are blocking your duct and the bile is getting accumulated.

How big is the stone? Have you done any ultrasound for the gall stones? When an attack of gall stones occur? It's because of inflammation that is being caused by the bacteria that's accumulated, and you should get sonography done and consult a surgeon.

The attack will go the first time, but subsequent attacks can be life-threatening. I suggest you consult a surgeon and get a sonography abdomen done to visualize the stone. Follow up with your reports. Also, consume less tea or coffee, drink a glass of food milk at night. Consume less fatty food, oily food. Take Tablet Omez 1-0-0 before meals syrup gelusil 1-1-1 for five days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jinela Desouza
