Is Chest Pain Normal To Occur During Collar Bone Fracture?

Hi, I broke my collar bone 2 weeks ago, falling from my horse. I am experiencing pain in my chest when I cough, or sneeze. I feel the need to hold my chest to ease the pain. I have an appointment with the fracture clinic next week, but am just wondering if the pain in chest is normal with a broken collar bone.

Good evening. Well the pain you are describing is not normally associated with collar bone fracture. Collar bone fracture can cause pain which will radiate to your arms Nd forearms. There is a possibility that you may have fractured your ribs in that fall. Any fracture there can cause such pain or it can be jst a muscle inflammation. Just make sure that fracture people clinic take a look at your ribs also incase someone missed it before. If that is normal you need not be worried about it. Hope the information was useful
