Is Cervical Spondylosis With Encroachment Of Osteophytes Related To Breathing Trouble?

I've been experiencing difficulty in breathing for years now where i feel something heavy was on top of my left chest.I've already consulted several cardiologists, done with ecg & 2decho and said the same thing,it's just muscle spasm. Now I consulted another doctor and requested me for cervical xray which I did.I was surprised diagnosis is cervical spondylosis w/ encroachment of osteophytes..does it has something to do w/ my difficulty breathing.thanks.

Hi,
Cervical spondylosis is a condition in your cervical vertebrae, where the space between two vertebrae gets reduced and the nerve which is coming through it gets compressed.
Due to compression, the area, where the nerve supplies could have changes like pain, altered sensation etc.
If you would be able to tell me which vertebrae is involved, I would be able to explain more in detail about the area of pain you might get. Mostly cervical vertebra compression pain occurs in the upper limb.
Breathing difficulty could not be related to it. If you undergone any stress ECG or checked for angina? Something heavy on chest, always feels like a cardiac problem.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
