Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I take my blood pressure often and am on Bystolic for BP, my BP jumps all over the place, one time it will be 176/105, ten minutes later it is 134/67. It ranges anywhere from 186/195 down to 97/65 I can tell when it's going up or down but was wondering what could be the cause
Nebivolol (BYSTOLIC) is a beta -blocker drug and okay for hypertension. What you need is an 24 hr Ambulatory BP Monitoring and proper timing and alteration of your medication. The BP fluctuations in your case may be due to faulty technique/ machine, anxiety, some conditions like phaeochromocytoma etc. You need a specialist clinic advice and some investigations to lookfor the exact cause.
